Default What to do with my MTX-2

I haven't raced my mtx-2 in probably 5 or 6 years, maybe more..
I would like to get into it again but im wondering what would be the smart thing to do?
Do i still use my mtx-2 or get rid of it for a newer mugen. Are the newer models really better? Also are parts even still available for my mtx2? Can i use newer mugen parts on my older mtx2?

The MTX-2 is outdated by far. I still have one myself and I let my 10 year old son race it at club events. We also have an MTX4 and 2 MTX4Rs. In my opinion the car can be competitive at the club level against like box stock HPI Nitro RTR cars. The newer cars are very advanced as to the geometry of the supension and center of gravity. They also don't have very many parts available for the MTX-2 anymore. I would suggest keeping it as a practice or play car and buy yourself something a bit more up to date. Hope this helps a little.

I guess i'll keep it a practice car.. Are parts still available for it?
Where can i get them if available? I might as well stock up on some spares just in case i crash it wont be able to fix it.. So i'm guessing the newers models don't share any parts with the older Mtx2?

You can try ebay. I've seen some stuff on there for sale. Honestly The car will cost you more money in the long run. You are better off getting somthing newer. Pretty much nothing on that car is compatible with the new ones. The hardest things to find are the belts, and the pulleys. Arms and stuff you should be able to find without too much of a problem. A friend of mine still has his too so we have some spares for ourselves but can't sell them cause we know we will need it in the future. Both of our kids run these at the club races.

I still have 2 myself. One was my very first R/C car. It was awesome! I bought another roller for parts but decided to pick up an MTX-3 and then a MTX-4 because I was afraid to break the X-2. I would like to sell them but they are not really worth much and I am kinda attached to my first car. So I have conceded to making at least one of them a shelf queen.

20 smoke: I cannot get to that website as it is trying to install a Japanese language convertor. Is there an English one available?
