any 'better' suggestions? especially about the roll-centers...
As far as the kit suggested settings go I find them to be a good starting point. Here at my local track (which is small, tight, and technical) I find it to be a bit on the understeering side. My lazy ass has been meaning to install my gear diff but like I said, my ass is lazy.
At Speedworld in Roseville(which is large and more open yet still technical, I find the kit settings to almost be spot on. I love driving up there with my +Evo and find I'm a faster driver. Just too bad my consistency isn't there.
I've scoured the internet for setups but it's one thing to get the info and another thing to actually apply it What can I say? My ass is lazy!

TM why have you addressed this issue seeing this would be about the 5th generation of this car!!!!
Kyosho RRR Evo disc works well...

The silver springs you have listed here - surely not the kit ones ?

Would you happen to have a Mugen & Kyosho table by any chance ??

What about the black springs that come stock with the G4s? They are actually longer than the springs in the TM kit and the ones in the kit are longer again than the silver springs

maybe someone can share what engines will not have clearance for the stock RS brake disc?
I know my HoBao Hyper 12 didn't fit in the G4JS without the disc rubbing on the crank case and engine was on angle to try and get a good mesh. This was with the one bit engine mount.

Also, i would have to check with Patto, but i know he used smaller brake disc with his Picco engines when he ran the G4RS...

Is it any smaller in diameter? Seems to be a few Kyosho parts you like to use on your TM :P

the K1443 is the smaller diameter brake disc used for the 2 pin brake pulley of the plastic ED trans. it is the same size as the G4 + disc. so there will never be rubbing issues. the stock disc on the G4JS is the same as the original Mongoose or G4S disc. it is larger in diameter, and has issues with most engines touching the crankcase. they might have fixed the issue with the newer kits with the use of the smaller disc, but anyone running the G4S disc must make it smaller in diameter, i mean less than 1mm from center is more than enough clearance. also what i did , was to use the plastic pulley std shaft, and grind a flat on it and use the G4+ alloy brake pulley and the disc, use loctite on the grub screw, and it works a treat. this i did because i had a few alloy pullies to use up, so i got the use of it and the smaller disc.

k1443 is actually bigger than the alum ed disc. i've got 3 of the different disc; k1443, alum ed disc and rs disc. i was using k1443 for my g4s last time and it is 1mm larger in dia than the alum ed disc.

do you have a G4S disc ? this is the one that is giving Bundy the problems. the K1443 is probably the disc to use as it is still smaller than the G4S disc. i had this problem early on with the mongoose and the G4S, it did hit the engines, so can you help undies and give some measurements of the discs, so he knows when to stop grinding the disc down on the JS. Cheers.
ps : i dont have any TM stuff left so i cant measure a thing for him.

Nope no problems here. But how different is K1443 from 502201?

Their silver springs are pretty much standard i think on all the kits untill you hop up to the LX shocks or buy the spring kit. When i bought the shocks i'm using on my + they came with blue springs i think around 1.8mm'ish, they are TM shocks but i can't remember the part number. They look and build very similar to the LX ones but they have an all alloy shock cap instead of the plastic/alloy ones on the LX's. When i bought the G4s off my mate (which he said was totally box stock) it came with these black springs, they are 1.4mm and 26.5mm long. They are longer than the 1.4mm ones from the TM spring kit though so i don't like to use them. I don't know what's going on there
