Default Is there much of a difference between Serp. 950r and 960?

I have a roller 950r that I can purchase for 250 bucks..

I guess I have 2 questions.. Is this a good price for a well maintained 950r and is there a meaningfull difference between the 950r and the 960?

Thanks!!!

i don't know much about serpent but i believe the whole platform is different. if you are going to get that car make sure you can get parts for it, it kind of outdated. hope this helps

There is somewhat of a difference it depends on the year of the 960. The main difference is in the rear end, the 960 tends to bite better it has a wider track. But I have a 950r that I have run for about 2 years now and for the most part drivers being equal my 950r will compete fine against the 960.There still probably a couple of usefull years left in this car before I will change. The 950 is a good starting point for someone just getting into the hobby.

250 for a roller is ok just make sure it comes with a clutch and make sure the car is not bent up or rusted.
