Default Question on Novarossi C12

Can the threaded piece of the crankshaft be replaced or must I buy a new crankshaft? The reason I ask is someone might give me an old C12 but it has a short shaft (running in a RC10GT) and I need a standard length shaft for an HPI car.

I think the threaded piece on the MT12 can be replaced but I'm not sure on the C12.

TIA.
Jim.

Yes, I believe it can be replaced. You don't have to buy the whole crank shaft. I don't have a part # though.

I had a MT12 and the it was just a stud and think the rest of Novarossi cranks are the same way, just be very careful with how and where you hold the crank while removing the stud.

I picked up a few 5mm phillips head screws at the hobby shop that work perfect for this, just screw it into the crank and cut it to the right length. About 20 cents a peice....
