few more questions about the avance.

- can it use the same rims as the serpent impact/835 or is it mugen specific?

- is the 2 speed and main gear shaft the same as the MTX-2?

- does anyone make aftermarket parts that support this car?

sorry for the multiple posts , and thanx in advance.

Mugen should continue on the 235mm project it would be a big hit. I want to get the serpent 835 but parts for serpents are SO EXPENSIVE!!!!

You can use serpent tires but you need to dremel bigger two notches inside the wheel for the pin to catch on too. The mid shaft u can upgrade to a titanium one (ho269) made by mugen that interchanges with the mtx3. Mugen fast tires are your best bet""

I used to race the Avance here in Houston. Modified the heck out of it...very very fast and well handling car though...You can lower the gas tank and the receiver pack with a bit of filing on the chassis...Sold it a few years back but best I did was change it to 2wd and got 1st in the B main at the 2001 ROAR Nationals....thinking about getting back into RC'n but going to 1/8 now...seems like 235mm just died out...

Good luck,
Chris Rose

Default 235 mm

I would like to see the 235 mm running with GT bodies, more modern body used in 1:1 racing today, instead of Group C. I still run my old Impact 2 Challenger with great fun.
Regards

I still have my 835. Love that thing. I recently dropped in a NSR 15S5 with a small block conversion in it. Unfortunately, there are not many places that carry spare parts, so I drive it sparingly.
