Setup question
 

I have a Kyosho FW06 and recently purchased the Integy setup station. I had a fiddle with it last night and was trying to set the camber to negative 1 degree. I can get this reading but the hub has a huge amount of play in it. Is this normal and if not, what can be done about it?? Im adjusting camber using the allen key holes on the hub. One at the top and one at the bottom. Thanks for the help and can anyone suggest some good baseline settings for me? The suspension geometry is similiar to the V-One RRR.

You have to tighten the plastic nuts that hold the pivot balls in orther to get rid of the play. Thighten them until theres just a little bit of play, if you get rid of all the play it will bind up the suspension. Then set your camber again.

yeah if i tighten them too much it does bind. When i have the camber set the way i do, its too sloppy. i cant get the camber i want without having that loose suspension.

it sounds like you might be trying to adjust camber with the wrong adjustment. to adjust camber you want to adjust the position of the pivot ball which is screwed into the arm, usually a 2.5mm hex.

the upright (hub) contains the pivot ball with a 4mm hex adjustment. set the 4mm hex to minimum freeplay without binding. then adjust camber with the 2.5mm.

The best way to get the least amount of play in your pillow balls is to take the steering knuckles off, tighten the hex set screw all the way up so it binds on the pillow ball, then back it off untill the threads on the pillow ball fall down on their own. This should now give you a nice snug pillow ball with no slop and then you should be able to get whatever camber you need.

ahhh i see now. that makes sense. Ill give that a try and see how i go. thanks for the help!
