Default Novarossi Cordoba engine

Can someone shed a little light on this engine. I just picked up 2 new ones and am looking for any advice, experiences etc...
Also, do the carbs come set lean? I just fired one up and it seems to be tuned lean, not rich like most carbs come set.

What percent fuel are you going to run in them?

I just bought one as wellI don't know what they come shimmed for but I have seen that they reccomend 25%.I bought one because I run at 301 raceway and the 35plus cordoba murnan modified looked to be the fastest engine at 301 I have seen plus I got a good deal that I just couldn't pass up.The murnan cordoba hauled but all over that track and it pulled very hard the whole straight, through the sweeper to the tight right.Tons of torque. The only motor I have ran in 1/8 is my stock ninja with ceramics and when the cordoba gets here it will be getting shipped to murnan.I can't wait

Although they do say 25% in the manual I do believe they are shimmed for a lesser nitro content. I ran my Cordoba @ the nats and the Cap classic on 25% and the head button and top of the piston were pitting. Randy Roads took one lookat mine and suggested that I add .2 head shim and try it. The motor was 35 degrees cooler and had way more up top and a slight bit less down bottom. The rip up top was worth the sacrifice. No more pitting and the button hardly discolored after a day of running. I would say add at least .1 to the stock setup to be safe.
Good Luck.
I have 2
I love mine!!

The stock shimming is .70
For 30% we are running them shimmed at .90
For breakin run it at .95 for the first 8-10 tanks
