I was asked today if there is an OFNA nitro 200mm touring pro kit and not RTR?

Honestly as per my records I am not aware of any, can someone advise...?

OFNA didn't have 200mm from Taiwan for many years.

OFNA only have two major suppliers basically, one is HongNor and one is Habao.

HongNor Latest model - CD3 Pro (If I am not wrong, released in 2001 or 2002)

Habao Lastest Model - GPX4 (same generation as CD3)

The Ofna CD3 has a Pro kit. It is shaft drive, has 6 gear differentials and comes with a tuned pipe, but no engine.

Not sure the CD3 is still around. It isn't listed on Nitrohouse's site or on the Ofna site anymore (the RTR still shows on Ofna's site, but not on Nitrohouse). It's a nice car if you can find it, but it is a few years old and tech support is somewhat limited (but you can always find help on this board!)

There is a LD3 which seems to be based on the Asso NTC3

The CD-3 Pro is not available anymore in The Netherlands. Only the CD-3 RTR but the option parts to make a Pro from your CD-3 are still optional. So it is possible. But it also has Centax clutch and how do u call it "vrijloop"(so no geardiff) on the front. And there are some aluminium mounts for the ARB and the servo. But a nice car..

LD3 Pro released before CD3 Pro. Same layout as AE NTC3.

They are nice cars, if a bit old. They still can get the job done. As long as you can get parts for it, that is. I know in my area, just about everything needs to be ordered, as nobody really runs either of the 3 of them (LD3, CD3, GPX4) in my area.

I did the same thing to my LD3 (upgraded almost everything on it to Pro status) and managed to by the CD3 Pro kit a few years ago. Even put it back together the other day just for kicks. I need to do some setup, but it still manages to get around the track...

The CD-3 makes an excellent candiate for a big block conversion too . Check-out Brent Davis post on RC Universe. His car was made for drag racing . They run a scale 1/10 distance = 132 feet. But his car is stable , tracks straight without a wing check out his videos and the drivetrain is almost bulletproof since it is made out of steel. I have a nitro -tc 3 I transplated the steel pinion and spur gears to it put in a .28 hit the parking lots and run!! Since I put in the steel gears no more blowned diffs. Cd-3 maybe the ulitimate basher.

Here is a picture of my ulitimate parking lot basher with a big block LRP .28, almost maintainece free since I added steel spur gears and pinion gears from a ofna touring car.

Interesting. How did you piece the header together? Which pipe? And how much room do you have on that rear wheel?
