Default 2010 1/10th scale Ifmar Worlds

Does anyone know how you qualify to attend the worlds? I know you have to be ranked nationally, but after that can anyone attend? And, do you basically need to attend the roar nats to be considered?

I think You have to attend a nats and place in the ether the top 40 or top 20 to get an invite to the worlds. I forgot, which one. or I may just be wrong...

That sounds about right as I've heard that before too. Make the top 40 and you can go.

Over here everyone can order a startingplace, if there is to many (only 5 per country is supplied) then indeed the ranking based on your nationals and/or EFRA/ROAR/FEMCA will be used to locate your position.
And if you are out of the list then you can go for a re-allocation spot.

Finish in the top 40 at the 09 TC nats and you will receive an automatic entry form. After that drivers will have to send a resume to ROAR and will then receive an entry.

At least, that's how it was a few years back. I don't think it's changed.

The race in 2010 is in the US. 2009 1/8th worlds is in Lostallo Swiss... I also wouls say that the worlds should be in 301 raceway. I have heard that ROAR is trying to put it in the Texas track that the 2007 ROAR nationals was held at. I dont think it has been finalized but after having run the 1/8th nats at 301 I would love to go there again.

At this point the track is not good. I spoke to one of the guys from that track and he said they are ripping the track out early next year and replacing the asphalt and with another new layout whch is the same length but wider. They have removed the trees from behind which caused some extreme shadows. I like the people from that track and think they do have a good facility. With some work they could have a great track also. I have no doubt. I am glad the 2010 and the 2011 worlds are here in the USA. But lostallo will be fun.......

The worlds is once in every 2 years. The uneven years are for the 1/8 and the even years are for the 1/10

According to someone who definitely should know it's Houston for 2010 with 301 as the back-up. 301 for 1/8th worlds in 2011.
