What would you buy today if you were in the market for a new Nitro On-Road? What scale would you pick?

I would still have to go for the 1/10th scale cars as they are cheaper for engines and parts + take up much less room in the kit than an 1/8th scale!
Also with the 1/10th scale, there are many more tracks that they can run on, so it adds more variety of locations!!

I would say whatever is being raced the most locally. I prefer 1/10th scale but it wouldn't do you any good if there were only a couple racing at your track while everyone else ran 1/8th.

1/8 scale for me.
I have done 1/10.

I find that 1/8 scale cars are more reliable, easier to work on, easier to drive, less wear on parts and faster
I have never ever stripped a 2 speed spur on 1/8 scale, I got out of 1/10 because of the MTX4s damn gear stripping problem

i dont think 1/8 is lesser wear than 1/10.yah you save on spur gears,but on belts,tires and clutch..i dnt thinks so.

I go through less belts in 1/8
Tires last twice as long but are double the price so it equals out
Ok, yes clutch does wear quicker but i dont see it as an issue, I have been on the same yellow MRX shoe for half the season.

1/8 engines cost more and they do consume a lot more fuel

I will never be going back to mugen in a 1/10.
Do you know whats it like to TQ in 2 meets in row and have your spur go with 2mins into the final Like what a waste of effort and time, it nearly put me off rc racing, like its no rocket science getting mesh right, mugen obviously farked it up, Im hearing guys going through like 6-7 spurs a day, now thats joke

Ditto for me. The G4RS from Team Magic is a beautiful kit but the gearing issue nearly pushed me out of 1/10 scale. Nothing worse than winning a B-Main by 3 laps only to bump up to the A-main and strip gears on the 2nd lap.
Happened to me twice.

Fortunately the new Kyosho RRR Evo 2 came out and that kit is the shiznit!!! Was at the track all weekend with it testing different engines, tires, gears and didn't have a single problem.

I've had Mugen, Kyosho, Team Magic and have driven the XRay NT1. 4 of my buddies have the XRay and it's a great car but they still have gear stripping issues. Which is why I'm back with Kyosho. No gear stripping problems.

yellow tends to slip more thats why it last long.

im not against with you dude,its just that having 1/8 in the long run is really expensive.
