Default Kawahara Quality Issue

Hey Guys

I am not complaining but am merely stating my experience and question here.

I recently received a few Kawahara upgrade items for the mtx-3 from an oversea order and found something weird

I have always heard from many reliable sources that Kawahara makes one of the HIGHEST quality parts for RC.

However, the parts I have received are of VERY poor quality (there are many jagged edges and many imperfections in the craftsmanship of the parts)

So this is my question, has anyone had the same experience as I?
Or did I receive factory defects? (in ALL the parts I have received??!)

A while back, I have looked at Kawahara option parts (on the MTX2) and they are flawless, however, now it does not seem to be the case anymore
a freind said that their quality has degraded over the past year or so, anyone have a comment on this?

Thanks for Reading!

I always thought that Kaw. parts are overprized and overrated.

Their aluminum pulleys for example wear really quickly where my 3Racing pulleys don't show wear at all.

Kawahara does make some unique parts like the neg diff, but I don't think that their quality is something to write home about.

What I really like are the Sato parts, but I have heard they are made by the same machine shop.

Who know's...

I have heard that Kawahara parts are made by a Hong Kong factory

Not 100% sure though

Stefan, is your rear carbon body post holder made by kawahara?

Nope, it's Sato Seiki, but again, it might be manufactured by the same company

I got a few things from Kawahara on SpeedtechRC.com a while back for my Nitro TC3. I got a centax clutch & some stuff, I had no problems with it. Perhaps you got a bad batch, all companies get them. Like the first 100 items may be perfect, but the next 100 will be junk. But obviously they cant throw them away... Email them and let them know! Complaining to us wont help. How knows, they may replace it, or just send you some free stuff!!!
