Default Overheating problem....

Ok so I have been racing for a long time but, I have run into a problem that i cannot figure out. I have a HPI R40 (and have had other nitro on-road cars) and have had 3 different motors in it. A borrowed Nova Rossi ( ran perfect for the owner ), a brand new Orion Wasp CRV, and a borrowed Mugen Sikei ( ran perfect for the owner ). My problem is no matter how I tune the them seem to bog on the bottom ( rich ) and lean on the top ( over heat 300 + deg ). If I try tuning them so they stay under 300 they run out of fuel after 3.5 to 4 min and if I try tuning the so they run right ( most power ) they over heat and seem to be rich on the bottom. Now if I try to lean the bottom out to get snap back the motors wont start or dont run right. What am I doing wrong?

you will also get bog at bottom due to clutch setting..

i set my bottom by letting it idle and count ot 10 and punch the throttle , if rev's up quickly it's OK.it it hesitates or bog's lean a 1/4 turn and repeat (clear out engine ..REV...between idle's ) till it rev's quickly...

this is my opinion ....

You left out tons of variables?I would start by putting the carbs back to factory settings, check for leaks-loose head-bad o/rings-header gaskets-etc.,are you using right plugs for the fuel you are using? It could also be mechanical problems as well.A bad one way first gear and worn shaft, bad second gear mechanisn, binding in drivetrain,is the clutch ok?You said you tried three motors so to me I would think its the car.Post some pics, are you in Fl.??

If you get X-rc check out the Feb 2007 issue. It has a great article on setting a centax.
