Dale,

Would you have to go through the licensing process to do a Holden, Vauxhall, Peugeot, or any of the European touring car bodies?

Dale,

Why don't you just make a 1/8GT version of your 1/10th TC bodies like the R9-R? No licencing involved and all you need to do is spice it up a bit for the 1/8th size.

Given that there already exists the DM-1 spec, GTP2e, Kyosho IGT-1 and the soon to be available Serpent 811 GT, it would seem more feasible to just make a body for the shorter wheelbase cars since it may seem to be the going standard for 1/8th GT. Sorry GT2 guys but its just my opinion.

However, if you're interested in something new and wild, how about this?

Well guys,

I received fresh pics from Alpha RC factory in Brazil, this body for DM SPEC / GTP2-E / 1/8th chassis looks awesome to me at least hehehehe ... enjoy :

Im blessed as will be debuting with this body on the "Copa del Pacifico" race in Peru next February 10th-13th ... hope to post some videos of testing of this body from factory during next couple days.

ps : - Pictures were taken over a Ofna GTP2-E

ps2 : - Remember, Alpha RC exclusive distributor in USA is MAX VELOCITY RACING @ http://www.maxvelocityracing.com

It's a bit hard to tell from the pictures BUT the spoiler seems a bit oversized to me.... I'll be interested to see if it does in person!

I wonder if it would be possible to specify a particular style of spoiler - for any cars running them? I'm rambling here a bit but it seems that Kyosho is pretty much out of the picture as far as bodies are concerned based on USA supply vs demand and history tells us that anyone producing a body will be looking for any advantage they can find.... So why not a hard plastic rear deck spoiler that is uniform in shape and downforce and available in say.... white and black?? Does this have any merit OR is this IGT world still too small for this type of specialization???

.

Just my opinion, the spoiler/wing looks to be the right size to capture more air to increase the downforce on the rear of the car.
The bodies for the larger Ofna DM1 cars have a hard plastic wing assembly that is part of the car kit, so you have the same wing design for the Mercedes or G35 body. Having a unique wing for each body has the potential of harnessing more of the aerodynamic properties of that particular body.

Dale,

Do you have any 8th scale GT car bodies projects in the works? I see that you have a new 8th scale Lola and the P-37N out and didn't know if you were going to add a new GT body in the mix.

I think Boss Mustang, vintage Camaro, Ken Block Fiesta style. You could go on and on.

If it wasn't for the high cost of licensing, I would love to see his version of the Audi R8. Maybe he can do an Audi A5 or sleeker BMW 3-series (as compared to the Kyosho version). A Mazda 6 Speed would be a good addition as well.
