That is a niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice track. I see that the back staight has no boards and, from the picture, it looks like it drops off to some bushes.

what rules do you run? Are there any other GT cars besides Kyoshos?

Keep the info and photos coming.

- The only motors allowed are the stock motor GXR28 and O.S. 21 V.G. X part number 13641
- The 2 speed gearbox can be the stock or the "evolva" part numbers FM 423, FM 361, FM 363-44HB and BRG006
- Brakes, open, put whatever brakes you wish.

That's a pretty decent set of rules. I'm glad to see you offer options on the engine and transmission and leave many things "open".

What tires do most people use?

Have you had any problems with the radio gear running in the wet? I would think you would have problems with the servos.

I checked out the video, I'm very impressed with what your club is doing!!!

90% of the guys use PMT tires, 7% OFNA, and 3% kyosho V slicks. We even have PMT rain tires.

We will test Ipanema Tires on the next race.

Yes at first we had all kind of problems running in the wet, from faulty receivers to faulty batteries, so now, we put those things in balloons, and since then not a single problem.

About the servos, some guys put a coat of shoe goo on them or silicon.

But most of the problems in our rainy races came from faulty receivers because they get wet

Please post back you thoughts on the Ipanema tires compared to the rest.

Thanks for the info for running in the wet, very cool, super realistic. Luckily we don't get much rain in Southern California, but it might help a bunch of other racers in wetter locations.

Ipanema Sintec Pre-Mounted Radial Slicks are setting TQs records & Winning a lot of GT races.

Please try to follow these "Break-I"n procedures for best tire performance

Scuffing tires prior to racing is recommended as it breaks in the carcass of the tire and improves the overall consistency of the tread compound, extending the life of the tire.

If a new unused set of tires is run too hard before the tread compound heats up, the tread could tear or grain.

For a proper break-in tires should be brought up to temperature slowly during the scuffing procedure; with tires at nominal pressure run a circuit or large figure-eight, starting at a reduced pace and gradually increasing.

Once the tires warm up and the grip level increases, run a cool down lap and then stop and allow the tires to cool to ambient temps.

It is recommended that tires be scuffed before coming to competition as the available practice areas typically aren't large enough to properly scuff a set of tires.

Good luck at the races!
