I can certainly see the frustration on both sides, one wanting to see the hobby grow in diversity, and other wanting to sustain the hobbies already established outlets. Those that haven't raced before need to understand that many groups struggle constantly to keep enough racers present to even hold events, while some clubs have an abundance.

Personally, I would love to see lower-cost classes as I think it brings new blood to the hobby, but it can also break clubs. However, if I was running a club and didn't think I had the membership to sustain another class, there would be no way I'd introduce it.
