A lot of people have thier own personal favorite, but the tire that wins the most....the one I use: Jaco and the new Jaco Prism brings something to the track that no other tire does.

I'm very happy to use RB tires, the wheel quality is OK, the foam is jap foam. As you know ATS produces these tires, the wheels are light and the foam is chosen by RB, it is a mixture. May be you wont like the grey color, but I think these tires are really good.
As an example; I gave a set to a friend to test, now he ordered 15 set of these tires.

I use mostly the RB Speed Line tires.. why? because it's the only tire I can get from the LHS. I've been using also Twister (same tire as RB, different shrink) and GRP and I don't feel much difference. Most of the tires on the market are competitive, just look what you can get for the best price.

I too recommend Kawahara. Very good tyres. Very good grip. If anyone is interested I have a source.

I personally use Kyosho... They are very high priced. I'll probably go back to Jaco once I end using all my Kyosho red box tires....

My vote is on JACO and Twister, two of the best tyres out there at the moment. I used Kyosho before but had some trouble with the rims.

We're importing the GRP line of 200mm and 1/8th on-road tires. These have always been one of the best premium tire lines in use today with many World championships. They have been known as Ellegi/Serpent or FastTire/Mugen. With importer direct pricing they tires have come down in price to a point where they can be run by anyone. I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who have personal experience with the GRP product.

GQ tires. Excellent grip and quality tire with very light and sturdy wheels. You can get them on ebay and also competition-rc.com

Quote from Jack Rimer (owner of JACO)

Quote:
All the foam used in R/C gas car racing comes from a single factory in Japan. Everyone uses the same foam. Some tires seem to work better than others because of the rim stiffness, or offset. Maybe the durometer readings are a little off or the tires are older and firmer. Perhaps Brand X cuts the donuts smaller than Brand Y. These are very slight differences.
