Just get into the top 4 Chris.

Hopefully Josh, Ralph and Barry can just finish their last run.

From redrc

The Kyosho V-One RRR platform seems to be very popular here, however only a handful of drivers, including Takaaki Shimo, are using the Evo 2 version, the others using the previous version. Non sponsored racers such as Daniele Ielasi has upgraded his car by using Capricorn RC manufactured option parts such as this new radio plate that allows the racer to mount the Xray NT1 fuel tank in the car. Other new parts seen on the car of Ielasi include a new braking system, with lightweight brake disc, as well as a new wider rear body mount for more stable mounting of the body shell of which the Blitz Altis and the Protoform Stratus are the most popular choices.

Of all the front running Kyosho cars, only Shimo is running the Evo 2. The others are running either the previous version like Jilles and Chris, or the previous version with the Capricorn RC upgrade to install the NT1 tank like Ielasi and Bertin.

Thanks for following our coverage. I only briefly drop by to RC Tech during the day so if you have some questions or have anything you need answered, drop it into the comments under the Gallery on our events page and we will do our best to answer it.

You gotta watch out for Toso and Burch, if he can get a clean run in.

Anyone know what tires are being run? Who is running Jaco prism? Any problems? Thanks.
Actually....no one is running JACO Prisms because the tires have been stuck in customs for over a week. I just received word that one box was delivered today (out of 4) so maybe Josh, Ralph, Paul, Marc, and Barry can run them in the last qualifier. With no practice on them and that fact that only one box is there, I really don't know how much good it will do.
This whole ordeal has been an absolute disaster. With over 500 pair of tires still in customs, I can only assume Portugal has some nitro racers who work in the customs department. Frustrating as hell.

Default Toso

Just got off the phone with Chris...he's so funny..he said Bee attacked him around lap 8 and on lap 10 it landed on his trigger finger which caused him to hit a curb trying to defend himself...this caused a break in his rear tire..he couldn't believe the times he ran with the wheel that way but continued with his fight with the Bee. I told him he lost the battle to go and get some bug repellant...he thinks the track will be OK in the final qualifier and believes he can improve his current position...Stay tuned

I believe GRP and/or Elligi had the same problem in Brazil.

It's the terrorists. People are afraid of terrorists you know. Portuguese homeland security probably are on orange alert regarding packages from the US.
Can't be to cautious you know. Axis of evil and such serious things.

Luckily they didn't confiscate all the RC equipment, like my bosses lap top that was confiscated at US Immigration in Chicago last week, without giving him a reason.

Damn terrorists.

Anyways, seems like the US boys have bigger problems than tires.

Don't worry, he went back to is old trusted battery charger that he knows in and out.

If there are not going to be really big surprises in the last qualifier, I think it will be very hard to beat Daniele in a one hour main.
I have seen how he can drive strategically and how much he is in control in these long races. Amazes me every time.

But we'll see, a lot of things can happen in the race and luck is probably going to be the deciding factor as so often
