Surprised you were doing so well at CORCAR with the 50s.Most of the fast guys are running 40/40.
You coming out to run with us at the Arts in the Alley race?

Its next weekend right? If it is it will depend on how much school work I will have...I upped some classes this quarter in CIS...so that I could fit that into a double major for graduation in 2 years instead of next year cuase I postponed my med school entry...

edit...I just checked...its this weekend 21/22...I am on call for work on the 21 and if I can weasel my way out of work I am probably going to head down to hamilton to watch the world champs run...

Another bit of news, rumor has it that Barry's and another Associated Team drivers car were outfitted with Kawahara Micro Centex clutches just before they left for the worlds....

I saw Barrys car, along with all the other Team members cars, last Saturday during practice. At that time none of them had a centax on the car. I got a few pictures of Travis's car, and got a real close look at all the rest, especially Barrys & Billys. I could not believe they where running Piccos! Looks like they're kicking butt with them though. It helps to have the actual Picco family working on them for you! Now that I got my digital camera figured out I 'm posting a few photos of my favorite ride. A little too much eye candy, I know. But whats money for?

The engine on the car is a JP RS-12, the motor in the background is a Mugen MT-12. Thanks for the compliment. Sometims I look at it and think it's over the top, but then I think to each his own, right? The heat sink is the Crazy Nut. Theres a thread with info about it on this site.

Everyone keeping up-to-date on the Serpent site? Barry and the A-Team are tearing it up! Here's a clip:

200mm Sedan 4-WD
In 200mm Barry Baker had a fantastic first run and wasn’t challenged until Michael Salven put up a great performance with his Serpent 705, finishing just 0.3 seconds behind him. In the second round several of the fast guys either had mechanical problems or hit something and weren’t able to improve on their times. Michael Salven was again on 27 lap pace until a screw in one of the pullies came loose and his car lost drive.

Here's another clip:

There were a few exceptions though. Mark Pavedis (Associated/Picco) was 2 seconds away from TQ, and Mark Green (Serpent 705/NovaMEGA) put up a great qualifier to put him 5th overall, just a second slower than 4th place Billy Easton. Adrian Bertin (Kyosho/Sirio) also got his car going well and scored a good 26 lapper, but was disqualified because of using a turbo-style ¼” glow-plug which he had forgotten to change after he had changed engines for his second round. Iwamoto from Japan also scored a 26 lap with his Serpent 705/Nova MEGA placing him in provisional 7th.

Don't forget that Sunday is a rain day. They will use Sunday for mains to get all the qualifiers in if they have to. So the Main we all want to watch could happen Saturday or Sunday; and rain is a possibility according to weather.com. Have to stay tuned to mytsn.com...

Despite Japan having their Nats the same time, I'm actually impressed that Japan sent their Serpent driver and a little disspointed that Kyosho / Mugen did not sent any from their side. I'm told Serpent over in Japan are a minority group.

I'm pretty sure they have plenty Kyosho / Mugen factory drivers over there.

Ahhh, that's what you get changing from the old style pin assembly (on the PRO kit) to grub screw style for the pulleys (705)... And probably no loctite...
