I hope that the new arm allows more changes of roll center unlike the stock ones........

has anyone tried captured ends for the rear toe links
(i know if i spent less time against the pipes i would not need this ) but i am getting tired of them constantly pooping off
seems like ever since i put retaing collars on them to keep the
toe settings constant they seem to pop off alot more often.
every time i feel like i fix one thing something down the line
gets me , my guess is if i try the captured ends i will be
breaking hub carriers instead, which is more time consuming to
replace than just searching the track for the link and popping it
back on , what do you think?

I think it was BB that did a lot of work with captured ends a while ago. I'm not sure where it ended.

i don't know who makes the the captured ball ends
but lunsford just made a new rear link so the rear settings
will stay on impact. you can check it out @rczone.net
first article from home page.

I did hear that AE is working on new stuff for it. Maybe another gear release, the white gears are a temporary fix, metal gears maybe?

Exactamundo, putting the ball cup back on is a quick fix, though the cups may come off slightly easier than if something were to break, rather than replacing parts. I contemplated making the switch, but decided to stay the AE way.

actually, what might be a good idea would be to capture the inside end of the link and leave the outside as the "weak link" - that way you wouldn't lose the nice piece of titanium and you could easily pop it back on, but you wouldn't break the hub carrier or anything else. . .

Default so

so i got tired of hearing the guys at the track tell me the car i use isnt the same the guys at associated use i decided to write them , this is what i got back as a reply

hey guys,
i am probably the most dedicated ntc3 owner and racer there is. i find
myself at the track, however, defending my choice of cars constantly. i hear
that the ntc3 that barry baker and other team drivers use is no where near
what i own, in regards to chasis layout and basically that the ntc3 you can
buy isnt the same that team drivers actually use. i dont say that i haev
the "same car" i say ther car is tweaked in ways my car isnt. the newest
rumor from the 'trinity sponsored" drivers is that baker used a non shaft
car at one of his latest big races. and that the car windows were tinted
dark so no one could see that. i haev been told by "people in the business"
that you guys are dropping the shaft and going belt. is any of this true ,
as i defend ther product i buy and race , and would like to know. i
currently own 4 different ntc3's and have had none of the 'supposed"
problems with it and have done decent with the car, even though my driving
dissapoints. i commend you with a fine product. and with some well done
practice(if i can ever afford to race 12th scale) with 12th scale i may be
able to kick some "trinity sponsored drivers"
feel free to contact me via phone at 215.243.2453 m-f eastern time to talk
about the car (phila,pa)
thanks for taking the time!
with the highest regards,
"mr ntc3" frank schinchirimini

Frank,
Hey Frank, how are you? It's always funny for us here at Associated when we
hear lies like this. Please consider the source it's coming from. There is
nothing special about his car. In fact it's real close to an out of the box
kit except for a couple personal things he does. In other words there is
nothing on his car that you cannot get or do yourself. The other guys like
to lie for the simple fact that they can't beat him on the track.

Please include a copy of this email with any replies.

Regards,
Customer Support, Team Associated

How do you guys solve the loose steering/ hub carriers when the pivot ball caps are tighten at the max. and it still has unacceptable gap?

Default hara vs. ntc3

if yu read the articles on that race, you will notice that they say "even though hara won , easton had consistently better lap times" only reason hara won is because of easton having engine trouble, no big deal,

the fastest guys at my track say i am crazy for running a ntc3 ,, of course they are trinity guys , but oh well, they are same gusy who say baker used a belt car at his last big race,,,, how many lies can one group of guys come up with ,, but ,, what you have to remember is this is my first year of racing ,, my first ,, my first year withthe ntc3 ,, and next year after a winter of indoor , its on ,, i wont be the fastest ,,,, but i am gonna cause some trouble in the ranks :O)

new guys --this is thee car to beat , simple, people rag on associated casue they own the world ,, t4-no.1, b4-no.1, rc10gt no.1 , ntc3 no.1 wouldnt you try to make your self feel better by talking crap about the best :O)
