I haven't ran my ntc3 for over a year now and am switching over to a rear exhaust engine. What is the best pipe to get for these and also what is a good engine to get? I'm looking at a MT12 at the lhs as well as some others. Thanks

The RD logic pipe is a must. Very durable and light. Beautiful chrome finish!

I see no need to change anything, since the car handles like a charm. The lightweight rotating mass, gives a nice boost to an already fast agile car, but not needed unless you intend to race. The new gas tank took car of all my engine problems. Oh I am sure all would agree, rpm bumper is THE MUST. Servo spring change and steering beerings preety much needed too. Shame fastharry jumped ship. He had a nice ride and was pretty quick too.

I didn't jump ship...I spent the last month of the summer running and learning about the r40,getting it ready to run at the HPI worlds...

I won't make a decision on what I'm going to run next year untill next year.........

And I'm basing my decision on what I'm fastest with, and teh most consistant....

Knew that would get ya . I did compliment you and your ride. Good luck whichever way you decide to run. I ran today and my smeltz rb was kicking a$$. I trimed the manifold a little and that bought the top end to life. I had been running my old rb most of this year, and that 2 yo is still bookin. Funny thing happened today. One of the locals was complimenting the way the car was hooking, when he noticed I was running the tc3. He couldn't believe it since so many have changed the newest best thing. Like I have said int the past, I love this car

It is a fast car........I still love mine...Treky 11 likes his R40(he did a GREAT job with it at the HPI worlds)..but still maintains his tc3 is faster.......

It just might be......I'll see next year, when the weather's warm again,I'll get both with teh times and see what happens...Who knows,Losi might have their car out, plus the new Impulse....

I think I'm gonna sell one of my tc3 chassis(with all the hop ups,no motor or electrics, but pipe and motor mounts, just like the kit..if you know anyone, let me know..It will be the chassis I was using in edison,so you know it runs good)...

it looks like team lrp used the rd pipe to get 3rd in the german
nationals not unless they made a pipe that looks exactly like
the rd. you can check out the pic of the car in rczone.net
the pipe is not needed but is another option. RD thought that
there needed to be a different power band pipe for this car
just like other cars with standard exhaust layout.

Default ntc3 popularity

used to be the hottest thread.........
i wonder if if ae is designing a ntc4 or an upgrade version of the car; like the mtx-2 to mtx3 or v1rr to evo so to speak. they should be doing this improvements for 1/10 touring in order to be competitive in the market. i still love my ntc3...

The car is still fast, it was 2 seconds behind Hara so there is no real huge concern but I agree they need to have something in the works. When a NTC3 doent place in the top ten you might want to jump ship

it's still a great car and don't think AE would change the car this
soon and that is what you look for in a car. Some thing that will
stay comp. for at least 2-3 years. i really don't care if the thread
is slowing down it just means every thing has been covered.

When the core posters get busy, like in the middle of the week (hey, it's the middle of the week!) this thread dies down just a bit. don't worry, it's not unusual and it's not permanent.

I've heard rumors about an NTC4 and a factory team kit for a long time.

I don't believe the NTC4 rumors - they include AE thinking that the 3 was always designed as an RTR and they never meant it to be a full race car, which I think is bunk.

I'm not sure about the FT rumors. About the only AE items I either added or should add were the blade front sway bar, rear sway bar and (what I need) front one-way and maybe solid rear. Everything else is, really, good to go. Does anyone think that's enough to charge a $100 premium for a FT kit? I'm not sure about it. . .

I was told by a close friend on the west coast Ae was still working on a new rear suspension for the car. When I asked Lett about it, he would'nt say hey or ney. Also I think BMI is working on a new alum upper and lower lower control arm with alittle diff geometry for the car.
