Default HELP PLEASE kyosho super ten engine

Can anybody help out here please i`ve got a super ten kyosho engine in a 2wd escort its all standard has had about 2.5hrs use from new but hasn`t been run 4 about 5yrs it was all set up fine when i last used it but when i recently tried to start it so my lad could try it out, it will not run for more than 10seconds.
Im running it with 16% fuel which it has always been run on without any probs all gaskets are good as well i`ve adjust both the fuel needle and also the carb gate valve but have had no success.
When it starts in run at high revs then just cuts out after approx 10seconds as i said any ideas anyone????????
