With the small amount of racers in the Open class, I wouldn't think that it would be much of an issue to allow the 220mm cars to run.... In addition, I thought that 2 racers that already had entered for the Open class were planning on running the 220mm cars...without them, you have only 4 in the Open. If allowing the 220mm cars to run, I know of 2 more that would enter the class. That would make at least half the field running the car....just fuel for thought.

If they don't get the numbers that is needed for a full field in this class, next year, it might not even be an option to run them. As for weight on the cars with the conversion, I don't think anybody will be under the 1725 and the width of the tires, you only have one choice right now and that is Kawahara,...........
Just my 2 cents, but I think that if it would bring more racers to the event, why not?

and with their only being 2 players in the mfg of these car kits...Kawahara and Knack, rules could be adapted and posted here..... It might only be a few people that would run them, but I know of at least 2 more that would enter the class and would be using them.....

Well what I think is that they must use the 235mm rules on the 220mm cars. The car can be more narrow than 235mm and the requirements of the cars is mainly minimum weight. If you are willing to strap on 275 g more to your car than I dont see why you cant run it. Although the extra weight should slow them down!!!! Maybe!!!!

Are you using Embarq? lol because that was the same exact problem that I was having, and I have a friend that uses Embarq and some websites don't work for him either.

I'll look into this some more over the next couple of days and see what can be figured out. I'm all for doing what needs to be done to make things fun and successful but I can't guarantee anything can be done this late in the game.

But I must say I'm a bit frustrated by this. Registration for this race has been open for nearly 90 days. The rules for 1/10th open in their current format have been in the book for a number of years. Here we are 2 weeks before a National Championship and people want to know why the 220 cars aren't allowed? To assume that a chassis that has only been around for less than 12months, without any official class rules, would be allowed to run in a class with established rules is a bit frustrating.

"Without official rules for 220mm cars they can't be allowed to run in a nationally recognized class."

Not to make problems, but this statement above says it all. It is a new class without Roar official rules. They have enough problems, lets just go race. Bring the 200mm version of your car if you want to run in this class. Just my 0.1 cents. I do not have a whole .02 cents,

Can not wait for the Nationals

Just let the 220mm class run using the rules of the 235mm class, as mentioned by Rangulo. look at it this way, most people that are signed up in the open class are actually planning on using their GPR 220mm cars.

All racers who have signed up on-line and have not paid will have their entry removed from online registration after this Friday. After that you'll have to register at the track. Of course there will be no late fee. Registration will be open on Thursday morning at the track before 8:00 am. Racers must either check-in if they've pre registered and paid or register and pay at the track before you'll be allowed on the drivers stand for practice on the Thursday practice day of the nationals.
