how great is that gun..

esp. with the "gotta have it" mentality of RC guys..Imagine pulling that thing out of your tool box, checking your temp, and winning?........There'dbe a run on them the next day,for sure..

one thing I know for sure is that I will probably get spread-eagle from having it in the luggage and checking through at LAX.

I suprised them last year with tire warmers in 100 degree heat...

That gun would have the same effect....

I skipped some of the thread....but a friend has a temp gun from Radio Shack $39.00 I believe, that works really godd.

I have a Raytech, that was $79.00 and according to another friends $400 Exergen gun, it reads 30 degrees too high.

30 deg differences? Wow, perhaps you may want to consider having your Radio Shack's temp gun calibrate, instead of thinking as such, otherwise.

I'd get that Raytech checked..the radio shack is made by rayteck...

I own that one,and the full size rayteck, with the special tip that Sigma trading had(RB"s importer)....both guns are within 2 degrees of my freinds exergen..

As for that OmegaScope gun, I figure you could probably use that to get a temp reading from the engine head while it's running on the back straight just before it shifts into second (After all, you might lose it in the scope once the acceleration burst from the shift kicks in!).

Well you're lucky that that gun has a scope as well as a heat seaking tracker ! It locks on and follows its target
