Hey, no problem. Figured it was a typo......lol

For those out there who have not been to the Byrons Challenge before. It's a contingency race sponsored by Byron Fuels and they are there to explain about their new fuel and handing out Hats, T Shirts and if you do well, nice checks too

They also have a good prize draw for the competitors.......I got a Picco Red-Dot engine last year !

The venue, Leisure Hours Raceway is a great place! A new On-Road track there, A brand new Off-Road Outdoor track and one of the best Off-Road indoor tracks around!

There's indoor pitting area's in the cool air conditioned building. (Nice if it gets really hot outside like last year!!!

The drivers stand is big (Very big!!) and high with the usual table's underneath.

The races are always ran well by friendly people who are "into" the hobby rather then trying to make money from you! And there's a shop there too!!

This is a great raceing event.........get there if you can! 28th and 29th June 08

www.leisurehoursraceway.com

Check it out.

British Menace

Hi Solara,

When are you planning on getting down to the track? Friday?
You going to try and get a pit area inside or outside? I'll look you up when I get there. My G4 went very well there last year. Hoping not to have motor problems this year and get in the big show.

Talk soon.

British Menace

Yeah, I am local here at LHR...we will pit INSIDE and enjoy the AC rather then the global warming thingy. I have good luck last year with the 1st roll of table right behind the entrance hallway, so I think we will pit at that roll again this year.....we've just got our car and parts landed yesterday and will start wrenching it. We will practice thru out the month of JUNE and will see we can practice on Friday or not...I myself most likely don't need Friday to practice cause I am slow as usual. Just need someone to spot a pitting area.

How does the indoor pitting work? Do you need to reserve a spot (pay for a spot)? Is it a first come first choice type deal? How many spots are available indoors?

Thanks.

Brian...no need to pay, 1st come 1st serve...but I am sure Chicky and the Mugen Gang will get you hook up. And of course, I am sure you can get your spot on Friday by leaving you car and engine on the pit...

There's plenty of pitting area inside Brian. Don't worry. I've never counted but I bet there's enough space and tables for 100 People ! Maybe a little more.

You don't get a hige amount of space but deffinately enough......if you get my meaning.lol (Maybe 4ft wide if the tables next to you are taken also.)

You can also pit outside! There is AC available along the back fence.
