Help 1/8 track photos and dimensions!

I am trying to get additional info/images on track dimension and layouts for popular 1/8 onroad tracks stateside and on the international scene.

Please post links or forward info by pm or email.

Also looking for suggestions on minimum dimension for length, width and lane size that 1/8 cars can be run on and still be able to enjoy the car.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers

My local track has a website with a few details and pictures.

www.TSRCAR.com

The image gallery should give you an idea, as well as perspective.

Is this track in Brazil?

Hi,

Actually this track is in Portugal near Oporto on the north.

301 Raceway

The racing surface is composed of a high grade asphalt slab of 255' x 130'
The back straight is 250' long with a high speed sweeper

Nope not from Brazil...just a big fan of Senna.

In review of the dimension of most of the tracks it appears that a 240x140 area (slab before track is built) should be workable size.

Am I correct in this view? Looking for any and all opinions.

Thanks

Jamie

This is my home track. Blue Diamond R/C. Located in Newark Delaware. 198 x 80. Asphalt (not high grade) Back straight is 190 feet and has about 15 feet to 12 foot lanes. We run 8th, 10th and sometimes 5th scale. We are like a medium track. Top speed for our 8th scales on the back straight is about 60 mph.

Seems typical track is roughly 1 acre of area. What is the (very) rough cost to build the track surface itself, assuming you have roughly 1 acre of mostly flat land to build it on? I'm not talking about all the supporting facilities, or structures, only the track itself.

Thanks.

Paving is can be rather expensive...plan on budgeting 10-15k depending on size and site work.

Evolution Raceway is 200'X100' The straight has a 20' wide lane, but it is 15' wide everywhere else.
If you have the room and the money, I would go with 250'X150'!

Thanks keep them coming...

Do you have any pics of the end of the straight/sweeper for the evolution track..hard to see in the last pic.

Thanks

Jamie
