Default On-Road Track in Brooklyn, NY

Hey guys, do any of you know if the track is still available for use during the week? I'm in NJ and I want to practice with my car sometime next week. Can I just go there and setup or do I need to contact someone first?

hey whats up, the track is at Floyd Bennett Field a.k.a tarmac raceway. The only problem is that the drivers stand was taken down, so u would have to bring a ladder of some sort to stand on. Guys have been going to home depot and getting a foldable 3 step ladder so u can stand on, there about 25$. But other than that it is open 7 days a wk. On sundays our club usually host club races, but i think for know they are postponed until everything at the track with the rangers get all squared away. its a very nice track, so have fun.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard everything from problems with rangers to problems with other clubs for use of the track. Good thing I came on and asked, almost cancelled my plans. I race with a couple of guys here in NJ but this summer it looks like we won't have a place to setup so we were thinking of being regulars at the Brooklyn hobbies club races.

Blue Diamond in DE, is just 5-10 min after the bridge. They have a great on-road track and are open for practice during the week.

That's a long ride from Jersey City, but thanks for the suggestion.
