I haven't heard any plans for a conversion. But I would not count it out.

A conversion kit sounds expensive, especially since you have to get a new chasis, upper deck and transmission anyway. Using the same suspension and gear box will help, especially since they aren't that hard to get (beat that Kyosho!). I only hope it comes stock with the .08 module gears. If it does, I'll pick one up.

Talking On/off switch yay or nay?

Another newbie question for you racer types. I am building a ld3 pro, first question, do you guys run on/off switches or do you bypass them completely for racing? If you use one do you have a recomendation or link to a good one? Is the KO switch any good or is it too big? Help the newbie

I run a standard, 3 lead switch on mine. it makes it easier to make sure the receiver is off and with the charge lead, it cuts down in wear and tear on teh battery leads.

Well, mine isn't exatly standard. I ended up swapping the charge lead for a micro rc plug. The only flat pack I had at the time came from my X-Ray M18, so I figured I better use what I had...

Haven't tried that KO switch, but seen it on a few cars. Seems ok. a little bigger, but you can find space on the chasis for it.

I had to take the rear diff out today. After the run Sunday, I turned the rear wheels and they spun the same way. Not good. Looking in the diff, the oil was black muck. Fortunately, cleaning them out and replacing the oil seemed to do the trick. I put the diff gaskets on there (the RTR didn't seem to have any) and hopefully that will keep the oil in the diff. I'll try to get the 300,000 and 100,000 weight oil this week.

Toying around with an idea for the motor. I have a line on a side exhaust NovaRossi (hope I get it!). I may send it out to get modded and drop it in the car by race 3. Then I may get the CV-R modded and ass the turbo head on it. Either way, I hope to het some more ponies for cheap. The back straight is a lot longer than the gearing (or motor) can handle right now. We're talking about 200-250 feet to roll down. That 16/21 to 44/39 needs to be changed up a bit.

Hi guys... I am looking for some info, what is the quality like on the components of the LD3? Is it as bad as the old Z10? Do you have to sand anything, cut anything, file anything?

the LD3 parts quality is very high, i have been in some very bad crashes with it and have not broken one single part. the suspension arms are easily one of the thickest ive ever seen
