1st race of the season was yesterday. Made it 3rd in my class behind a sandbagger (who admitted he should have run Pro) and a NTC3. Had a shot at 2nd but a few body problems and debris in the stinger cost me some pit time. with the exception of the bumper stay, nothing broke, even after a wicked roll down the back straight. Still have a few setup issues to work out, but I hope to have that done by the first race at my home club on the 18th. PIcs will be up this week

Hi guys, want to see anyone here did something like this before (someone from NTC3 thread posted LD3 ppl did this MOD on the LD3)...I do have a NTC3 and want to use some TALL gears like the LD3/Hong Nor 28/29T on 2nd gear, I understand those gears are designed for the LD3/Hong Nor optional POWER CLUTCH.....but I want to know, does the Mugen Stock Centax clutch work with those 28/29T 0.8 gearing pinion? And does the Mugen Clutch work on the LD3/NTC3? Like the flywheel are too big or too small...?

If that work, I can pick up a used centax on ebay or others and buy the LD3/Hong Nor 28/29T pinion and install it on the Mugen Clutch....

Thanks in advance...

On Ofna's site, it says teh clutch is set to work on the LD3, TC3 and MTX3. Therefore, I believe the pinions should screw on the Mugen clutch as well...

rookie solara ive seen a few people running the mugen clutch
on the Ntc3 and i know that the ofna gears threads on the
mugen clutch bell and spaces the same way so it will work.
You might have to dremel the left rear corner brace alittle
from what ive seen with my friends car.

Dude...you are the best, that really answered my question....do you have a MTX3 clutch for sale..? I know you have the MBX one, but I think the flywheel might be a little too big....

How about Serpent Cetnax 1 clutch...? Does those pinion thread into the clutch too..? The reason I ask is because I do have Centax laying around that I can try, 1 thing for sure, I have to raise the engine by at least 1-2 mm because the flywheel is 35mm versus the NTC3 stock 32mm....

Thanks again.......

Also, thanks spenzalii...........

Cool. So from the sound of it, the clutches should be pretty interchangeable. Just as long as the tranny will accept the gears, at least...
