I think the original gearing is a little overgeared...the engine does pick up fine but I am using an old MT12 Turbo which has a lot more low down torque than the likes of the RS12 engines. I want to drop the spur gears by 1 teeth each....but I haven't got round to getting my butt down to the shops yet.

I'm currently playing around with the springs....haven't found the right springs yet!

As for the car being tough! I had one of those moments at the track last Saturday...the throttle servo died at partial open....not good! Anyway...the car diecided to scream down towards a concrete barrier...probably from around 15-20 feet, hit it full on! The only thing damaged was my lovely shell and the front plastic bumper was bent! This car is relatively tough I would say!!

I am currently researching the LD3 Pro kit... and am almost convinced on getting one... but there is one thing I have been looking for in the Pro kit...... Does the Pro kit come with a Centax Clutch.......or a standard clutch bell.......

The car looks very nice and I have run a NTC3 and i loved the way it felt....... just hoping this car feels better or the same.

Also, where is a good place in the US to buy parts for the LD3.... and hop-ups for this car?

The Pro version you get in the US DOES NOT have the centax clutch. The overseas version (or 'grey' market) version does, as well as with foam tires. NITROHOUSE is a good place for spare parts and hop ups in the States. When I can't get my shop to get parts, they get them to me in a few days.

The Hong Nor version also has a 3mm chassis, the US (OFNA) version I believe is 2.7mm (same thickness as non-pro version)

It is only $385 usd. Very good price, but the shipping is $90 + $20 bank fee.

am glad someone brought this thread up! aku-man, show us some pics when your new kit arrives!

i just got the standard kit but am loving it! plan to upgrade some parts like the nylon arms to make the kit stronger, though i have not broken anything yet despite the crashes except i bent the shaft holding the 2 speed (i think a pebble wnet through the spurs) but it still works! ..just the 2speed is a little wobbly.

I wouldn't bother with the nylon A arms, simply get the A arms from the Pro kit, they are already strengthen over your std kit arms. The Pro arms are plenty strong enough and for the money you can buy other options instead.

Will the Pro arms break? NOt nearly as soon as the stock arms. However, I did manage to pull the lower shock mounting screw out of one with just a little tap. Good thing the set isn't that expensive... Now if only they made that Full Option version somewhere, it would be nice. I plan on upgrading piece by piece over the off season.
