Havy, Looks like you have a mega smooth track (and I agree with spenzalii, I you too hehehe )

OK I am only a backyard club racer so one of u pro guys pull me up here if I am wrong

3 hole pistons on such a smooth track would be a bit soft?, I am running the 2 hole ones of 60f/40r oil on netball courts.

Right height seems too high, I run with 5mmF / 5.5mmR

This is from a 1/8 buggy chat but you get idea on how OFNA oil compares to Kyosho..
Quote:
If you are using Kyosho oils you can try 7 or 10K in the middle, 5k in the front, and 3 or 1k in the rear.
If you are using Ofna oils you can try 50 or 120k in the middle, 30-50k in the front and 10 or 20 in the rear
You could try very very thick oil in rear so on power rear is a bit looser you just have to hold on to it

Also read:
http://users.pandora.be/elvo/
It will tell you how the Caster/camber etc is effecting you etc.

Thanks for the replys.... he he, about the track. It was only finished about three weeks ago. Before then we were strickly parckinh lot racing. If you guys are ever up for a visit, there will be a big 3 day LatinAmerican race to be held in early June so you guys are inveted . If interested I can give further details.

Things are just starting to get good down here. We've started a RC racing associacion and hopefully in a couple more years will have a couple more permanent tracks. Last race hosted approx 180 cars in cat of Touring Sedan, Outlaw 200mm, and Touring electric, as well as 1/8.

Will keep working with the setup to see if I can get better times...also lots of practice

Will give updates as I go, Thanks Guys

Try heavier diff oil in the rear (Kyosho 100,000wt).

Take your front droop down (or up if you are reading from the droop scales). So that with your car sat down you can only lift the front end a couple of mm before the front wheels lift.

Less rear toe in.

Heavier rear anti roll bar

All the above will give you more on power steering......the last 2 may make your car more twichy...but than depends whether your fingers can follow!!

Default 8. Junk the original yellow springs...too soft.

DTM:
In Tower Hobbies website they describe the yellow springs as being almost the firmest set...is this a mistake, or is the HN set different?

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFES3&P=7

In the set up sheet, as done by Jeffrey Lin posted here a couple pages back, he suggests using the red (F) and copper (R) springs.
Anyone know of equivalent springs from another make?

Must be a mistake because those yellow things are so soft i wouldn't even put them into my EP........

I have run Kyosho black up front and Golds in the rear for a while.....still not urgency to change this combination.....

*Will the OFN 50000 wt do?*

Don't have anit roll bars but try one, then add the other (etc) to let my fingers get accustomed to the changes

Thanks,

I've never used OFNA oil...but I know with Kyosho 100,000wt you have to "spoon" it out of the bottle!!

Usually you can just pick up a set. I got the 3 pc. Dynamite metreic set which does everything but the pivot ball retainers (so keep a hex key in the box just in case you break a knuckle). Beat and cheapest way to go, really. Just about everyone makes a set, so pick up whichever you like
