Superfun racing day down here in PR today.

Had some trouble w/ the engine in the first qualify, didn't get to test in morning either, but second qualify put me in 1 pos B main

The main was another story, unfortunatly 1st turn pile up set me back to 6th due to need for quit pit for body trouble. Worked my way up to second in the main before I rear ended a slower car that drifted into my line in a tight S section and even though the wreck looked harmless, the front lower pivot ball poped out w/ only 5 min left. I gues I finished 6-7th or something, but still 20 min of the 25 min main were good fun. Car ran real smooth, a little loose but nothing good finger control didn't cure.

Loose is fast Really stoked, cars starting to get better and better Guess I'm learning to set it up better too

Whats up my ld3 peeps I got a question for y'all? When i turn on the power switch the wheels automaticaly go to the right w/the control on. I checked the bats. and their good Fully Charged any suggestion is apperciated.
Also I was reading a thread some where & this cat put a 2.5 traxxs mill in his car, I was wondering if anyone here did it to their ld3 and what mod did you have to do to it to make it work. Reason being my friend wants to give me one but & i just want a lil heads up on what i'm getting myself into. more fire

Two things to watch for I can think of off the top on that 2.5 swap:The header and the crack. The header is a bit smaller than a standard rear port, so you may need a gasket or two to make up the difference. As long as the clutch fits the crank, which isn't really standatd size, if memory serves, you should be able to use that. If not, you can swap for the other crank they have.

My wife just bought me a 4tec (don't laugh, she's trying), so I may see if that engine can fit just for kicks.

Team RR the trim is set even. The problem is when its on it slowly turns to the right and locks, meaning no response from the control this one has me wtf ????
Yea and senzali i also was checking out the 4tech when it came out I likeed the shell it came with and the mill but not the set up. Couldn't get w/the belt system. Might consider it later as a basher. Let me know how the mod goes for you ..... Peace.... more fire

i find that the gears on the LD3 are a bit weaker compared to other cars.. the 0.8M gears look alot thicker but this does mean they are stronger?

Ive never stripped 1st (i think?) but I have done a few 2nd gears. I hope u got thick silicone oil in those diffs otherwise ur diff gears are going to be toast also, a lot of diff action is not good for them.

I like the 0.8 much better

You also need the new 2 speed and clutch (centax - SG cranks only, will NOT work on a threaded crank), you can't put 0.8 gears on the old 2 speed or clutch.

info about 0.8
http://www.ofna.com/LD3options-08.html

I find the 0.8 to be much better

If you stripped a gear, I bet a rock or something got wedged between the chasis and the spur gear and toasted it as you went around in circles. Happens from time to time
