We just placed our order from Byron's and cost went up $6 a gallan. The $40 to $50 range is a bit of a price gouge in my opinion. Anybody paying over $30 is getting ripped of from there Hobby Shop.

Now for Morgan fuels that is another story. We are on the back order untill the end of July.

The biggest problem is that people think everyone is going to run out of fuel so they are stocking up and causing a shortage.

Yes lucky you....

It is interesting that the price gouging has already taken place when the shortage of nitro is not here yet........

Default Byron Fuel

Yes, Byron did take a price hike and a gallon of 20% Gen ll should sell between $ 35-40 dollars depending on your LHS. No more 60%, 45% and as of last week no blending of 30%. Yes. blame China for the shortage of raw product that they sell to a lot of fuel blenders. Byron states that they are good for their allotment for the year. Huskerfreak, your way off base if you think no one should be paying over $ 30.00 a gallon. Unfortunatly it's a sign of the times. Gotta love the jackass president.

I also am in the process of ordering more fuel and can only get 20% Byrons fuel but is not that big of a deal.... Paying a little over $30 might be right but IDK about $35-$40........lol

I may not be a big Bush fan but please tell me what the hell Bush has to do with Chinese Olympics, NHRA drag racing and nitromethane?

I agree I can see $30 a gallon for 30% but any higher than that is just plain price gouging. We we selling our 30% for $24.99 before everyone started causing a shortage and if Byron's raised our cost by $6 that would make it $30 a gallon. So that being said I don't see why people should get charged $40 or even $35

It's not the presidents fault. That the Olymics are in a country that's smog levels are so high that they have to shut plants down.

It's also not the president's fault all you guy's are acting like this is Y2K and the world is going to come to a end when the nitro dries up. Life will go on and there is a lot more things in the world to worry about than the Nitro Shortage of 2008

How long does a gallon of nitro stay fresh provided it's not opened?

As long as you store it in a cool dry place above the concrete floor, then it will stay fresh.
