New Engine Help!!!!
 

I have a nitro tc3 and I just took out the stock .15 and put in a Max .12 OS 3 port w/ slide carb. Ok, I got everything in and ready to go. My starter box is having a hard time turning over the flywheel. Which way does the engine turnover looking from the flywheel end?

Any advice on breaking in the engine?

Looking the engine from front side ( carburator & flywheel side ), the engine rotation is anti clockwise.

Use "minus" screw driver to twist the flywheel when the engine is stuck.

If it doesn't start, open the glow plug and start the box to empty engine flooded situation.

I suggest to run three tanks on starter box, another three tanks on track ( set your maximum EPA to half throttle ), and finally another 2 tanks while searching the optimum setting.

Be patience....

Use search thread function ( and select by post ) to search other break in methods available in rctech. You can read people posting and decide which break in method you think is nice to follow. BTW, If you find WOT, I think WOT should be done by expert, not for beginers.

Now it seems I can't get any fuel up in the line???

It might be my starter box. It uses 2 stock motors w/ 2 7.2 battery packs. Do I need a better box????

New motors are tight. Preheat the motor with a heat gun or blow drier. That will help.

Use short fuel line ( read : enough length necessary to route the fuel efficiently )

Cover the pipe's stinger with your finger tip while you are starting the engine. Cover it for three seconds and let it go, and repeat the process again until the engine start.

Don't cover the stinger more than three seconds, you may flooded the engine.

gday mate it is the same with most OS engines, i got a TG the pistion looks like this / \ (exadurated), take out the glow plug, put some after-run oil in it and put it on the box and put a towl or something over the glow hole, push it down a couple of times till it frees up a bit, then it should be right to start you just need to take that notch of the top of the liner
