please ... I've already paid enough for shipping and the kit. Why should I have to pay express on the darn thing, wait another week and a half to finish building the kit and possibly miss the final 'big' race here over a stupid side guard which costs a meesly $1.

What should I do? Race with the sideguard flopping around like mad, then make it look like it has been used -which it would be if I took it to the race- and then send it in?

They can't even take a credit card number so that I can send mine out at the same time they send the replacement out? The part is defective, and not of my doing. Why should I have to be screwed over when I just paid for the kit so I could go out and race it?

Come on. Associated is a million times better .. you fax in your description of the defective part, and they send them to you FREE (without you paying for shipping either) right away. I received my replacement screws 3 days later. Sent in the complaint on a Monday, and was VERY surprised to see the replacements in my mail box as of Thursday afternoon.

Brutal; its not like I'm calling in and saying 'uhhhh my chassis plate is missing / or bent' or 'duuhhhh uhmmm I'm missing the front upper and lower A arms, and oh also an ackerman plate' .... I have 1 defective plastic sideguard worth nothing that I can't get the locknut either tightened, nor removed without hacking up the plastic/cutting the flap off with some shears and then hacking away at the plastic surrounding the locknut; probably eating the crap out of the metal locknut at the same time as I try and cut away the plastic with snips.

Brutal ... or perhaps I expect too much

Why not just buy the replacement part if it will
just cost a dollar?

Now I cannot remove it, nor tighten the screw without cutting the plastic from the darn chassis.

I made a call to Mugen .. and what the??? They will not send you out a part until you go and spend your money to send the part back to them, nor will they take a credit card # as a type of 'security' so they can send out the part the same time you send yours in?

What kind of CRAP is that??? I had a problem with the cheap screws with my NTC3, all I had to do was fax in the part #'s and they sent them to me free of charge; without me having to send them the damn screws with the crap head on them -using Hudy tools, the darn head on the screws (3 of them) were so out of shape when new, I couldn't screw it all the way into the chassis braces- Guess what AE did? They sent me a whole bag of screws, plus some I didn't even need! FREE.

Bullshit!
Some people (Chroner) need to admitt fault not pass on fault to try to get what they want, when you built your kit maybe just maybe you should'nt of use so much force screwing that screw into your side pod then maybe we would'nt be having this conversation.
Chroner when you called we told you how our company policie works, send in the damadge item after we recieve the part then we will send out a new part. If we sent out free parts no question ask to everyone that calls in......... we would not be in buiness very long.

It seems to me to be rather common sense that you send in the part and then you will get a replacement if the part is faulty.Otherwise it's rather easy for everyone to ring up and claim they have faulty parts and get sent out replacements without any verification.
