Lipo receiver pack - charge at how many amps?
 

Hi,
I'm about to do my first charge on my lipo pack. it's 2 cell, 1300mah, 10c pack.

At what amperage do you charge a pack like this at?

No more than 1.3 amps.

rageworks is correct, with a 1300mAh Lipo pack, you can only charge it at a maximum of 1.3 amps. anything higher will damage the lipo and will be prone to fire.

A good way to work it out is take the mAh of the battery you have and divide it by 1000 (Basically move the decimal point to the left 3 times. Thats the Amps you should charge that battery at. This is considered it's 1C
charge rate. You should never charge higher then 1C at any time. Nomatter how fast you want the battery done....lol

Examples:
800. mAh Battery 800/1000 = 0.8A charge rate.
1300. mAh Battery 1300/1000 = 1.3A Charge rate.
1600. mAh Battery 1600/1000 = 1.6A Charge rate.
2500.mAh Battery 2500./1000 = 2.5A Charge rate.

I have a lipo transmiter pack, I just charge at .5 amps. Whats the point of charging any faster? I charge during the week, and at that rate its allways safe.
