Default NTC3 Running but not moving **Need Help**

I purchased a roller as a parts car for my NTC3 and after swapping the rear diff and putting everything back together the car barely moves but the engine is running fine and revs up perfectly but the car won't move well? I have checked and the brakes are not grabbing and the diffs worked perfectly before installation. I even swapped in the spare tranny and the same result. I'm baffled. When I raise the car up everything moves well when I hit the throttle, but when I place it on the ground theres barely any movement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It has to be something simple as the car was moving fine earlier today.

Thanks in Advance

does it just have a super slow take off but pick up speed after about 10 feet? your 2speed could be too loose and its engaging right from he start. tighten the the 2 screws on the 2speed clutch all the way and then open them up 2.5 turns counterclockwise.

if that doesnt help, check your clutch shoes inside the clutch bell thats connected to the engine's flywheel.

im leaning more toward the 2 speed engaging right from the start. ive seen the problem before, wheels spin when lifted off the ground but then goes super slow on ground and then takes a while to pick up speed.

Clutch is fine and the wheel hex pins are in. I will play with the 2 speed tomorrow and see what happens since it is dark now.

only other thing is the pinion gears may be stripped in the diff. I just had to do that on my ntc3 and replace with HD! cant seem to get the parts fast enuf! crappy fleabay order.

Lightbulb clutch or 2 speed

It can only be one of two things. Your clutch or your two speed. If you have taken your clutch bell off you could have got your shims mixed up there for causing binding on your shoes ie:clutch is engaged while trying to load up. I would also double check my thrust bearing while i am at it. If thats all good then check your 2 speed.

if you have a centax type clutch turn the tension nut out half a turn, have you checked the grub screws that hold the drive caps onto the pinion gear in the diffs ,check the 1way bearing in the two speed and clean it to remove excess oil clean the shaft while you are there, wgat state are the pins in at the end of the main drive shaft

Sorry if I didn't post what ended up being the issue but it turned out to be the 2 speed. Disassebled and reassembled and everything is fine. Thanks for the input.
