Default Nitro motor clicking noise

There's this person I just met that got this brand new NS3 novarossi race motor. He did the proper break in cycle by running it rich, etc, etc, etc. But, there was a time when he put his car on the starter box and it made this weird clicking noise when he tried to crank over the motor. Sounded like metal to metal And just this last saturday, my buddy Alan got his NS3 and he had the same noise, but after he ran the motor, the clicking noise went away. This noise only happens when you try to start the motor on a starter box. Had anybody encountered this problem ???

same thing happened here. it happened when I first started up the engine and the sound has gone after a few tanks of fuel.

The sound indicated that the motor you got is a real Novarossi NS one, not STS or those alike.
