Yes true. BRCA.

The touring shells on foams are IFMAR though so until BRCA changes I agree with you ...

Default fw-o5r rear

hi guys..thought you should know.

check out the rear of the pre-worlds fw that won....notice that he has the NEW "RRR" rear hubs on the car.( does this chang the roll centres enough to work?)...
i notice that the rear of the fw has the same tendances as the v-one series...i reckon its because of two reasons..
1:- being the same person who designed the v-one series designed this car.
2:- they wanted to use up as much of the old tooling as they could, without being too aware that the v-one rear DOES not work...i have to modify my rear end to get it to work as i like ( i have been running the v-one series since the first v-one-r)...Simon Cammeleri and i have been trying to get the car to work...its about 90%....Simon now runs the mugen(sponsored) as he gave up with the kyosho...........
now the question is.................why release a NEW car that does not work as well as it should....i mean kyosho has a fantastic 1/8 scale, but their 1/10 tourers are not up to it....i do love the kyosho as it is very strong and we cant all run Mugens...

That is not a RRR rear hub, it is the Mugen MTX-3 hub. The style is the same though.

Kyosho really likes to "reuse and recycle" their parts, so many parts from the V one R made it to the 05R. Only recently with the RRR are parts changed. In this aspect, Kyosho seems to be very conservative, although that can be bad at times.

Anyone know anything about what to buy to convert the fw-05r to use mugen pinions and spurs?

I read in a Japanese magazine, where they had photos and description of Ito's car.

Many people do it on the EVO too. They call it the MIRR conversion.

Default gears

hi guys.
two things.
first to "B" can you tell me what parts are neede to use the "M1RR" ste up....or can you send me a better pic?
two.
i use the mugen clutch bell with the active hardened mugen 28/29 second pinion and an active kyosho hardened 22 fist pinion with the stock kyosho gears...no worries, but be sure only to use the same bell wiyh the same clutch shoe...the kyosho and the mugen bells are slightly different..so change the shoe as well as the bell if you change to differnt bells through out the meeting

Mike,

That would also mean you have to switch to the whole clutch assembly from Mugen right? The Mugen has four pins where the Kyosho has only 3.

Hey,

I don't have the parts needed for the M1RR setup, but if you look using the search function, you will for sure find one (it was posted many times). My advise, however, is to just use the RRR one when the EVO comes out, since more parts may be compatible. Also, very likely, the rear hub setup one the RRR will be on the next update of the 05R
