If i got alot of V1RR and Evo spare parts what are the others parts that I should purchase in order to setup a FW-05R chasis kit. Is this possible?

Which one will be an economic decision than either purchase a complete set of FW-05R kit or built from existing RR spare parts ?

Get a FW-05R chassis kit. There are enough different parts that this is the cheaper way to go.

Kawahara is coming out with a set of Front and Rear ring gears. The ring gears have the following configuration:

17/45 Front
17/46 Rear

This new ring gear set also comes with a very very heavy price tag. 11,000 Yen.

Hello guys..

I have a kyosho V1rr evo that i usually use in races(touring), and its pratically ok, the handling is good..

And now, im planning to have the FW05r, i know its a good car, and the same, i want to experience the driving of a shaft driven car...

anyways, i want to congratulate kyosho for winning in the IFMAR pre-worlds!

Go KYOSHO!

Well I'm another one who just got bitten by the FW-05 bug. I have the EVO and am waiting for the FW-05 to arrive.

Does the exhaust manifold come with the kit or do you have to get seperate? Whats the part no?

Also what battery pack do you use?

Is the gearing as low as the EVO or can you get a good selection of gears?

Cheers

The exhaust and the manifold do not come with the kit.

You can see a list of parts, both spare and optional on the Kyosho page here:

I get mine directly from Japan. The foam version with front one-way and graphite upper deck version is only available in Japan. Try these guys:

They are off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays which is why you haven't heard from them. The prices are really good but shipping and credit card charges can add up. Nevertheless, in the end you will pay no more than what you would otherwise pay in the US and get a better version with hop-ups costing easily over $150.

I forgot to mention the Japan only foam tire version comes with the better lightened 7075 chassis as well.

Wow, sounds like Japan is the way to go.

Jeffrey - you were the guy pitting next to us at the RCHeat race. Your car looked like it was working pretty well. I've been interested in replacing my Nitro TC3 with the FW05. Do you get all your parts from Japan also?

Hi Rod. I get my parts from Japan as well as tower hobbies:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=KYOC0479&P=X

I also travel to Asia a lot and pick up 3 Racing and GPM hop-ups there.

My FW-05R is working just okay. It's pretty much kit setting for the suspension. I am going to work on it a bit and get ready for La Mirada Sunday. Will you be there too?
