Default switch wiring

hi guys
just wanted to know what the best way was to set up the wiring for the servos, switch etc ??

i never used to run a switch but i hated the idea of having to always plug and unplug the battery from the receiver

some pics would be great ??

thanks
john

Default first time prob with fw-05rr - dogbones~!!

hey team

i took my fw-05rr out today for its first race meeting
car was built exactly as it was from the box with stock setup

handling - car had so much front end grip that the ass would be all over the place. move dto 37 front and tyres and 35 rears helped a bit but im still having rear end problems

front dog bones - i dropped both my front dogbones just by exiting the pits and taking my first turn. what is the key to keeping the dogbones in ?
i had to screw in the pivot ballstill i had 2mm gap between the arm so the dogbones wouldnt pop out. now my front track width is 197mm

what have i done wrong ?

thanks guys
John

try to turn down your steering travel and change the front anti-roll bar to the vertical (hardest) position. Also try to add some camber and toe-in in the rear.

On the dog bones, did you miss the plastic spacer you are suppose to use between the front one way and the one-way outdrive?

Just an FYI for a last min. fix, if you ever happen to loose the plastic spacers for the front outdrive, you can use an aluminum 2mm spacers that are normally used on the rear axle. It's a perfect fit so you don't have to worry about it causing glitching.

Default front adjustable turnbuckles ?

thanks for all your help with the frint dogbones

I just wanted to know if it was possible to replace the front turnbuckles with adjustable ones that fit the existing ball ends ??

what turnbuckles are you guys using ?
i want to be able to adjust them without having to take them off each time

thanks

If you look in the back pages of the manul, you will see that Kyosho makes a titanium tune buckle for the FW05. However, to use it you would need to cut your ball cup so the steering linkage is not too long.

here's another option.. use the stock adjustable turnbuckle supplied for the rear anti-roll bar on your steering linkage, you don't have to adjust the rear anti-roll bar as often as the steering linkages anyway.. mine worked! Im using the medium and short ball cups on each end.

I know this isn't the for sale forum but I'm really looking for a set of spur gears for my car. If you have any extra you wouldn't mind selling it would be appreciated greatly.

I called in an order of parts from Kyosho today and they didn't have any in stock(46tooth second gear) . Kind of desperate here-again sorry for posting it here but I thought I should go straight to the source.

Thanks,
