What is the best gesring for this car? I am using mugen 22/29, it looks like no torque. 2nd speed is getting better, any suggestion.

Thanks

I do know this, I just got back from HK and this is the hottest 1/10 gas touring car now. This car just beat a field of MTX-3s in the Kyosho Cup in Hong Kong in the open class.
Do you have any more info about the Kyosho Cup? Results etc?

Where there many EVOs competing amongst the Kyosho factory drivers?

I think there was only one factory driver at the HK Kyosho cup and he drove the FW-05R. From what I have heard most of the factory drivers will be switcing to FW-05R.

hey fellas:

If I buy this car, I will be running it in a parking lot, where the traction is not very good. My concern is, i've heard that the power delivery from the engine to the wheels is very efficient, but abrupt(with the car being shaft drive), so that the car will be difficult to drive if the traction is low. (with too much power delivery to the ground and causing the wheels to slip) Has any one experienced this? Or is is barely noticeable?

Thanks all

Honestly speaking. If the traction is low, any car will give you a spin tires result.

Answer = Barely noticeable difference.

Conclusion = Go ahead & buy this GOOD product..

Does anyone know when the Steel ring gears will be available? Took my car apart and found that the gears show signs of stress and fatigue. More than usual now that I am running Diff-Lock in the rear diff.

They are out in Japan and I have some on order. Kyosho part number is VSW018 for the 39T and VSW019 for the 40T.

pinion gears for FW-05 n EVO n RR are the same....only difference is that the Spur Gears for FW has a smaller pitch centre diameter

Use the spurs from the Evolution. The FW spurs are too small. If you don't run on a really smooth surface then I suggest you stick with the old 1.0 pitch gears. There is very little performance gain. The benefit is outwieghed by the cost of converting. All my friends have swithced from the .8P gears to the old 1.0P because they are tougher and easier to find if you strip a spur gear.

Where did you order them from?

Is anyone here from Hong Kong? How's the SARS right now? This could threaten my trip next month.
