One big mis conception in R/C I've found is adding weight is bad.

Most often a slightly heavier car thats just well ballanced will turn faster laps than a lighter one thats off ballance.

weight distribution : right side is heavier because of engine and fuel tank. Perhaps that why when you turn left, the car is understeer.

NiMo:

I haven't spoken to you for awhile. I know the last time i spoke to you, you were going to get a V1RRR. How does this compare to the FW-05R on rubbers?

I'm still watching the RRR sections, but at the moment I'm sticking with the 05R, now fully upgraded to the 05RR.
Maybe when the cash flow improves I might try running an RRR as well as the 05.

At the moment I'm running 21/51 - 25/46.
When the grip levels come up I'll go back to the 20.

Has anyone tried the Grey clutch shoe? I can do with a softer clutch but cannot find a setting with the current Black shoe.

Hi!

I am planing to get some spare parts for the coming season. I am racing the FW-05S and therefore i am using the VSW-30 2-speed-gear with the original GS-15R-motor.

I am wondering if any one had some serious failure with the 2-speed?

If not i could get two extra spur-gears, but if the clutch of the second gear is weak or so i am thinking about getting the whole vsw-30.

Regards,
Robert
