I know you guys are probably SICK of this question but.....

I current own a V one RRR and i used to own a FW05R before that

I loved the FW05R and it run great

The V one RRR is abit taily But not uncontrolably taily

To those guys who own both the V one RRR and FW05R/FW05RR which car would you say is better on tire wear, setup ease?

Also if i run the FW05R/RR on a large track say with a 60metre straight, would the FW be able to to keep up with the belt cars if i install the Kawahara centre conversion?

I am thinking of changing back to the FW05R/RR

Thanks In Advance.

@Initial D:

It is for the RR. The main difference between the R and the RR are the hubs. As you can see on the setup sheet he crossed the "U / L" on the upper arm position on the back field out and wrote "2mm" which means he put a 2mm spacer between the end of the hub and the ball.

Regards
Robert

Robert, you're probably right since he ran a prototype at that time... I stand corrected.

The set up sheet is for the R, but the dates is after the pre-worlds, so he would've been running the RR.

I note that he was running the softer grey clutch, maybe that's the secret to putting the power down without lighting up the tyres.
(I'm still running the standard black clutch, but have red one (sharp) to hand).

Hey there,

With Spring coming soon, I am looking at the upcoming nitro season up here in the north.

I bought a Kyosho FW05R used at the end of last season to replace the HPI RS4-3SS (heavily modded) that I ran last year. I wanted a car more stable, and more tuneable than the HPI could ever be, also I liked the shaft drive aspect.

As much as I want the car to be very functional and strong, I also want it to look like a nice peice of hardware. I was looking at some of 3R's center al. structure, and servo mounts, rearshock tower, and a few other items. I am also ordering the RR conversion kit.

Is there a Graphite front shock tower for the RR yet?

I am going to be taking my HPI .12R XS motor (HPI Branded STS 3 port .12) from the HPI and putting it into the Kyosho for the starting of next year.

Does anyone make a hex head Ti screw set for the FW-05R? I see Speedmind has a Ti set but I fear they are philips head.

Should the Centax clutch shoe be replaced (it was used for a full season), and if so what color shoe's mean what?

Josh Cyrul had a picture of it posted and it had the RR conversion, remember he races for Kyosho so he test everything before it hits we see it.
