yea that i believe you'll never run out of gearing unless your on an airport strip!!!
how big is your track although i have never raced on big tracks only at my local club.

but i believe 22/50 27/45 is more than enough with karahara gears.

I find 27z second is overgeared with the Kawahara conversion, lots of heat and no revs.

20 26 is about the best combo for the conversion as long as you have a short pipe

Cheers

Running with a JP FX T03 (5.5mm carb) with Kyosho VSW024 one piece pipe (5.2mm), 16% fuel and Kawahara 45 Diff rings I can happily pull 21/50 26/45 (2nd only gets used on main straight).
With this set up I can get 8/9 minute tank runs, and the get up and go factor even has top UK drivers Darren Johnson, Chris Grainger and Samantha Barnard using my car as a performance gauge to judge their cars performance by.

That's easy to answer, I've only met him once since his return from Brazil, and I didn't have the car with me then.
(I had to do some work in the race control hut)
I did however find out some facts about the worlds, and in my opinion it shouldn't have run as the Customs thing was a total farce (Serpents tyres are still in Brazil Customs).

Hey Nimo im in the process of getting the center conversion , do you shim them the same way as the stock ring gears? Is the Kawahara version less drag?Right now Im running 39 ring gears with 21/51 and 27/45 for second.

Thanks

The Diff unit is shimed the same way, but the input shaft/small bevel has a new bearing holder that holds the inner bearing closer to the diff ring which reduces the flex in the input shaft, so in effect, more efficient drive train.
You will however have to drill a little hole for a grub screw in the Diff housing assebly, all is shown in the supplied diagrams.

37T was not around when I fitted the Kawahara kit.
Now there's the 38T.
Kawahara gears still show no wear.

0.8 pitch, finer than Kyosho pitch.
Here's a picture of my Kawahara front diff, must be getting on to a year old, and still no wear.
