well. the grp are not long life tyres..what the teams use are 'true' long life jap rubber,,the long life tyres are,, speedmind, kawaharra and zac tyres,,,the grp make of rubber is designed to empty your pockets..try the long life rubber and you will all be pleased...you can run say a 37 and have the grip of a 37 but the wear rate of a 40 to 42...these tyres a little bit dearer but they are worth it,,exspecially on a half hor final when you have to run the tyres low.

So how long did it take till you believed me Mike? New tip for FW drivers wanting a little more steering, use offset rims!

Haven't seen them myself, but the wheels "look" pretty.
When someone finds out what tires those are please let me know. The wheels look great.....

Someone said earlier that they are Kyosho Tires. They come in a red Kyosho box. Could they be made by Speedmind?

I drove my RRR for the first time today and it was good. Not as good as my FW but close. Out of the box it's much better than the FW ever was. Everyone is going to have to watch out for this car.

Just been checking out the disk brake and holder for the RRR, it's a similar designed disk to the SuperTen FW04.
Now who can we convince to make a disk holder on that design for the FW05, then those stupid pins wont keep coming adrift (not even super glue holds them forever).

Do you run diffs or one-way?
I run diffs and use heavy braking which works the pins loose, although the Tobee unit I now have is standing up very well, and shows no sign of wear.

NiMo, have you tried the K Factory one? That's the one all the Kyosho drivers are using. I just got one but haven't had a chance to install it yet.

Just to let everyone know there are 2 drivers at the Worlds who chose to use the FW-05R. I hope either one wins!

SOLID AXLE

If anyone wants to try out a solid front axle, there is a square piece that comes in the V-One RRR kit that inserts into the diff and locks both outdrives.

I'll try to get the part number soon.

I tried to get the Kfactory one but it was always sold out.
The 3racing one didn't even last a meeting (alloy too soft)
Kit plastic ones last 4/5 meetings.
Tobee one has been in the car for last 8/9 months and as yet shows no wear, it did however require an extra spacer on the fastening bolt to make it a tight fit.
