Thanks, Marcos! but take a look. It isn't the 05RR. If the photo is correct, and I'm sure Mike wouldn't screw this up ... Cyrul has gone to the RRR.

It was said when the FW05 was launched that they would run both a belt car and a shaft car.
I see it only logical that they compete with both cars as some prefer belts and some shaft, only thing that really matters in the end is they are both Kyosho.

Hi,

I don't think that this strategy is very usefull.
Both cars are completely different, when it comes to grip and handling, and the team of Kyosho is now having two different cars to setup.
The team is now devided in two side's.

This has been done before by Serpent at the 2001 1/8 Worlds.
They had the Veteq, Vector and Vector Nt, and Vector (pushrod conversion) all used by the team.
The result was that they couldn't get one single car on the podium.

NiMo, another one of those good ideas that Kyosho should take and credit you for it.

I mean .. it'll sound funny otherwise ... FW05-RRRRRRRRR.

Normally Universals are more efficient in an angled situation, where friction is more prevalent.

What? Now I know who started all that thread about "belts vs. shafts" here at RC Tech!

Anyone else there running an FW05?

Good point. Focus is key. Helps too in sharing set-up ideas among team members.

Maybe they also found that running the FW05 with a front one-way isn't as fast as the V-One-RRR?

Hi,

From mytsn.com:

Team Serpent will be present at the race to give full support to all Serpent drivers. Rene Cornella will coordinate all this. Some clinics and meetings will be organised to support all drivers to achieve their maximum result. Serpent Team-work will show results !

They learned their lesson and improved the team spirit.

Kyosho should do the same.

As for the chassis,
A team as Kyosho could easely do some testing off both cars and then decide which one to use before the worlds started.

I think they played themselves, however their is no doubt that Curyl will be fast.

Thomas.

I agree. I just want Kyosho to take the no.1 plate home at all cost. But the team has divided into two. Two focuses to win the title. Each team has it's developer and technians on hand.

This is good. I heard that in the last few races all the way back to the Asian Serpent Cup, Michael handed out his set-up sheet to anyone that wants it.

Although anything can happen in a major 1 hour final like the WC, at least they'll have fun working in a team spirit.

Thomas.
That's what I mean, they must have tested extensively and decided which car to focus on. Cyrul is always fast ... a guy of enormous talent and temperament for driving in a major race. He must also be hungry for a WC title ...

In fact I think ALL drivers will be hungry because its the first WC for 200mm IC by IFMAR.
