My friend has already fitted the RRR hubs and likes it a lot. There is a big race down here in SoCal this week and hopefully between the two of us be able to put at least one FW-05R in the A-main. The car is fast enough, we're just having to sort out motor issues.
Hi Peter, I am omw to HK today so I will be doing some shopping. I don't think the new front end is out but if it does come out in 2 weeks I will certainly get you a set before I get back.

Good luck at the RD Logic race!

Just fitted and tested the Kyosho one piece pipe today, it is a lot shorter than the pipe I've been using.
I found I needed to lean the bottom by half turn and the top by a quarter, I don't have so much bottom end torque now but the revs just don't run out even at 190f.
Guess those 37t Diff rings would gear the car about right now 'cos at last I can say I'm overgeared.
Now to find that 20t pinion for this Sunday's National.

I would have liked to get the Kyosho one-piece pipe but seeing that drivers at the nationals were running RD pipes, I think the RD would be a better choice. Surely, Kyosho must have offered the pipes to their drivers to use and I don't see any of them using it.

I ran one of the RD pipes at the start of this year and found it very difficult to get a constant fuel mixture, it would change heat by heat which is not ideal in a competition.
I have been running a NovaRossi pipe connected to the RD header, but his Kyosho pipe is worlds better, less torque but loads more revs.

You probably ran the first version. I ran that too and it was not a good pipe. There is a Turbo II version now that has a bigger and shorter header. The chambers are smoother and the stinger is 5mm. It's supposed to be really good.

Maybe I'll look at it in the future, but getting anything by RD in the UK is impossible, and the last RD pipe cost me more in import duties than the pipe costs (same with anything from the US, but Hong Kong is duty free)

Maybe you can find it under a different brand in HK. I think it is JPL.
