Or.. if you have money to burn throw it at the car! Funny thing is my times keep getting better as I add to the car but i'm sure its not the pars but the driving practice I get when testing.

If i just practice driving my times would be the same as they are now and i would be a lot richer!!

Admit it.. We just like playng with toys!

Biggest change to my car was the Protoform MG ZS shell, it allows me to run very soft springs and damping will no grip roll or handling problems, I can even run the kerbs now so I'm looking forward to Ashby on Sept 26th.

Wider makes the car more stable, less twitchy. But it will give you less overall rear grip.

Slotmachine, I still dun get it. Whats the rational behind it? I've always thought wider is more stable...higher grip....(wrong?) hehehee....

The roll into the corner loads the tyre. If its further away from the centre of the car it will feel less load. Its the same as having a roll bar.

To regain grip soften the spring rate for the same damping effect. More droop also helps.

I just changed the rear end of the EVO to MTX-3 hubs and the car is now 212 wide! I will find out tomorrow what the effect is

Cheers

Yes I did change the fronts and what a difference it makes, I can turn in when I want to and hold that tight line all round the corner, and it doesn't push anywhere like before.
RRR front hubs are a must!!

Tried the rear RRR hubs but have yet to notice any improvement, if anything it makes the rear end loose so I make take them back off.
I will try the rear hubs again tomorrow but this time with the RRR swing arms, which looks like they are adjustable for wheelbase length, not sure how to fit the roll ball to them though.

The rears are for the EVO

I changed the rears on the FW some time ago. I have ordered the froont hubs for the 3R but havent arrived yet.

The latest mod is 0.4mm shims in the JPFX and 20mm off of the pipe manifold!!!

Cheers

I have just e-mailed the Brookland club to confirm if the meeting is still on.
If so NiMo, Slow, Baz, Andy G, Andy & Iain are heading down from AMCC with possibly some others.
