I haven't been reading much, so this could have been posted already but Josh Cyrul has our Las Vegas setup posted on his website in the setup/tips area. I know he will be posting more as time goes on so keep an eye out.

The website is www.CEFX.net.

Hi

Just back from the Foam Nationals at Ashby! Pretty good turn out with 100 entries.

I was only one of 2 FW-05's there. A driver Lee Boadhurst had the other. I changed the pipe connector for a non standard one at the start and it didnt hold up comming off and putting me out of one of the heats.

I then rear ended a stationary car at the end of the straight and totaled my Kawahara front conversion, luckily I had all the old kit parts and put it back how it was.

Next heat I managed 18 laps and got to the C final!! Only the 3rd time i managed 18 laps

last heat i messed with the engine settings and the car overheated and stopped (big mistake. leave it alone next time)

Lee was running the 7mm Kyoshom pipe with a RB Rody V12. This was working better than the 5.2 mm version I had. (next on the shopping list!)

Disaster struck in the final. I didnt check the car over properly (Lessons Learned!) and the grub screw fell out of the rear middle shaft connection! No rear drive straight off of the line.

Better luck next time!

I thought Lee was a works Mugen driver? and that he was now concetrating on 1/8th.

(For those that don't know, Lee Broadhurst was the UK development driver for the MTX3)

I like the question mark next to "ADJ NUT" in that set up.

I notice that Josh runs ackerman angle C.
I found this to load up the outside wheel more and provide less on power steering.
I use angle A which has reduced the excessive front tyre wear by spreading the steering load to both front tyres.

Be interesting to see how they perform as they only have one mixture screw (no bottom end setting)

Well, we will see how the weather hold up. There seems to be a typhoon heading this way and it's hard to say whether it's going to be dry or not. But if it's dry I'm gonna have to go during the day to set up my car for the race on Sunday (also during the day).
