Kyosho will release a foam version with one-way, carbon radio deck and ergal chassi:

http://www.kyosho.co.jp/rc_model/tou...w05r_sp-j.html

Or it might have been released already, Im no Kyosho expert...

Cyrul will drive fw05 according to his thread at the electric forum. I think this is great, if this means that Kyosho will promote their touring cars better...

I just picked up the car and finished assembly. I noticed a lot of binding and roughness in the geartrain, is this normal? Also, how exactly should i be shimming the differentials? The instructions are unclear because it's telling me to use 2 different shims for each side and I am only able to find 1 kind of shim to use so I used 2 on each side. I'm hoping the car just needs to be run in.

Thanks

I had the same problem as you hve but after running it on the track for a few laps it smoothened out....I only had the problem of the 2nd speed engagment, seems like Joehwee had a similar problem and had to Dremel down the head of the 2x 2.6mm cap screws to get it to clear the 2nd speed spur gear. My adjustments for the is tightened it then unscrew it 4 1/2 turns out. You can also refer to Joehwee explanations in the earlier post.

vones,

nice pix. have you seen the fw-o5s. it has a battery/receiver box. it looks like it should fit but may need to modify or use it's radio tray. hate those exposed receivers too.

Nice pics. But what does the shoe lace do? And is that a trinity rec. box. I like the idea; I feel the same about exposure. I am just making humor about the lace!
